Upon completing this applied learning course, when I pursue a Bachelor's degree in Engineering at HKUST, there are several advantages. Firstly, university-level coursework becomes more approachable, and working with different people becomes second nature.
Throughout the course, we have many teachers who are also designers or professionals in the field, serving in different roles. They are also your life mentors. By using their experiences as your blueprints, you can follow their paths to develop yourself and even surpass them.
The course helped me lay a good foundation to become a kindergarten teacher. Through the fieldwork placement, I can deeply understand this career, which has strengthened my development direction.
During the process of crafting jewellery, there have been instances of failure, such as cutting inaccurately or cutting too much. However, this encourages us to keep trying and learning from each failure. These experiences have not only enhanced my skills but also boosted my inner resilience and determination.
The difference is that I have improved my grades, whether it is in oral communication or writing. I am sure there is a certain level of improvement. I believe my HKDSE scores will also improve accordingly.
I learned a lot of management knowledge besides baking in this course. For example, I learned the skills needed for running a business, and I'm grateful for acquiring this knowledge as it has given me new experiences and opportunities in entrepreneurship.
