

Course Aims
This course aims to develop students’ creativity and to equip them with the basic knowledge and skills required for interior design and event spatial design, enabling them to apply their learning to the creation of ideas and development of spatial design. Also, emphasis is placed on enriching students’ understanding of culture, aesthetics, technology, design and society, facilitating their further development in the creative industry. Students may choose, according to their personal interest, “Interior Design” or “Event Spatial Design” as their electives.
Diversified Learning and Teaching Activities
Different modes of learning activities (e.g. drawing surrounding environment by hand sketch, creating 3D testing model to present spatial design ideas, and using computer-aided design software to draw basic 3D shapes and forms). Field visits will be organised, including various important exhibitions and designer studios of significant values in Hong Kong to recognise special features of interior and exhibition design in Hong Kong.
Simulated Learning Environment
Equipped with industry-standard facilities and equipment, e.g. Drawing Studio, Design Studio, Three-Dimensional Design Workshop, Photographic Studio, etc. for students to practise related knowledge and skills.
Professional Recognition
Students will obtain a Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 certificate in addition to HKDSE qualification upon successful completion of the course.

Students are required to attend a group interview or an online interview/ assessment. Selection is based on student’s interest in design, motivation and willingness to learn, aptitude, drawing and design-related skills as well as communication skills.
$16,050 (Course fee is fully subsidised by the EDB.)
