mySTYLE 2026 Showcases the Creative Achievements of Applied Learning Fashion Image Design Students
mySTYLE 2026 was successfully held at the Hong Kong Design Institute on 4 July 2026, attracting more than 1,000 guests, including teachers, students, parents and industry representatives, to celebrate the learning achievements of students from the 2025–2027 Applied Learning (ApL) Fashion Image Design course. Form Four and Form Five students, having completed 180 hours of professional learning and practical training, presented their fashion design and image design creations, demonstrating creativity, technical competence and artistic excellence.
A new highlight of this year’s event was the inaugural Inter-school Green Fashion Show 2026, which encouraged students to incorporate sustainability and green fashion concepts into their creative work. The event also provided a valuable platform for inter-school exchange, fostering greater awareness of environmentally responsible design and innovative thinking.
The event featured competitions in both Fashion Design and Image Design, with awards presented in categories including Best Hair Styling, Creative Make-up, Innovative Fashion Coordination, Total Image Design, Best Material Application, Best Color Coordination, Innovative Design, and Best Fashion Design. The Textile Institute HK Limited Award was also presented in recognition of outstanding student achievements.
A panel of professionals from the fashion design, image design and related industries assessed all entries. Judging was based on creativity, design concept, craftsmanship, overall presentation and professional execution, providing students with valuable industry feedback and encouraging their continued growth and development.
The Applied Learning courses of the Vocational Training Council uphold the motto “Apply Today, Achieve the Future”, integrating classroom learning with practical experience through close collaboration with industry partners. The courses aim to equip students with generic skills, creativity and professional knowledge, while supporting their pathways to further studies and future careers.
