Course Aims

This course provides students with authentic learning experiences to acquire the fundamental theories and concepts of pet care and grooming, and helps students develop their proper values and attitudes, work ethics and various soft skills in communication, teamwork, problem-solving and creative thinking through hands-on practice and interactive learning and teaching activities.

Diversified Learning and Teaching Activities

Lectures and demonstrations, visits to animal clinics or kennel, interactions with veterinary nurses, pet groomers or animal rescue associations, on-the-spot inspections in the community, lectures and sharing by professionals, thematic studies, etc.

Professional Recognition

Students will obtain a Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 certificate in addition to HKDSE qualification upon successful completion of the course.

Selection Arrangement

Students are required to attend a group interview or an online interview/ assessment. Selection is based on student’s interest in pet care and grooming, attitude and willingness to learn, aptitude as well as communication skills.

Course Fee

$24,500 (Course fee is fully subsidised by the EDB.)

  1. Lessons may also be scheduled during summer holidays.
